Doctor Engineer (Power Engineering) from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NIT) - University of Trondheim.

March 2010 - July 2010: Training Programme in Business Planning for Energy Efficiency Projects in buildings – Lviv/Ukraine. I was one of two lecturers representing Reinertsen AS from Norway. Client: NEFCO.

August 2009 - December 2009: Lectures in High Voltage Technology. I gave lectures to the 3rd year students at the Engineering High School "Høyskolen i Østfold" during the fall semester of 2009 in High Voltage Technology.

July 2007 - (Ongoing): Promoting investment climate in Small Hydropower in Azerbaijan. 3-year project to develop possibilities for investments in small hydropower in Azerbaijan. Client: UNDP. TEKNA is the Norwegian partner. I am the project manager for the Norwegian side.

September 2005 - (Ongoing): Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency in Tajikistan. Capacity building programme sponsored by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The components of the programme include: Cleaner Production in Tajik industry; Energy Efficiency in building sector. The program started during the fall of 2005 and is envisaged to continue for 5-6 years. An average of 1 CPEE programme per year are realised for Tajik industry. I am project manager.

Dec 2004 - Jun 2005: Cleaner production and Energy Efficiency in Romania. Capacity building programme designed for Romanian industries. Client: The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I was project manager.

Apr 2002 - (Ongoing): Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency in Azerbaijan. Capacity building programme sponsored by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Environmental improvement of Azeri industry; Energy Efficiency in the building sector; establishment of a local Centre, network building with local industry, establishment of a Revolving Fund to implement projects to save energy, raw materials and indirectly the environment. An average of 2 CPEE programmes per year are realised for Azeri industry. I am project manager.

Apr 2003 - October 2004: Cleaner Production and Energy Efficiency in Georgia. Similar to above project. I was the project manager. In October 2004 I left the project, which continued until 2008, to another project manager.

Jan 2003 - Jun 2003: Financial Engineering for Cleaner Production in Baltic countries. Implementing CP projects utilising the facility from the Nordic Environmental Financing Corporation (NEFCO). Trained consultants in Financial Engineering and Business Planning. I was project team member.

Mar 1997 - Dec 1998: 55 MW Gas powered CC Power plant in Baku/Azerbaijan. Negotiations on technical, commercial and financial offer of a 55 MW gas power plant. Total contract price around 55 MUSD. I was the country manager and followed/facilitated the project from start until the contract signing.

Feb 1993 - Aug 1994: Medium voltage equipment factory in Bucharest/Romania. Established and operated the factory from green fields. The project involved feasibility analysis, business plan development and approval, procurement of hardware, technology transfer and later operation such as marketing, production and service. The factory employed around 60 people. I was first project manager, later general manager of the factory. Total investment around 10 MUSD.

Oct 1989 - Jun 1992: Power transformer factory in Bangkok/Thailand. Worked as project team member in planning, building and operation of the factory from green fields. I was the technical responsible, later on the technical director of the factory during the first year of operation. Total investment around 14 MUSD.

Jan 1988 - Oct 1989: Technology transfer between factories. A power transformer factory in Dundee-UK increased their high voltage know-how from 132 to 400 kV level. I was the project co-ordinator.

Jan 1987 - Oct 1987: Technology transfer between factories. A power transformer factory in Oskarshamn - Sweden improved their high voltage know-hhow from 66 to 132 kV level. I was the project co-ordinator.

Jan 1983 - May 1984: Development of Finite Element Program to calculate electromagnetic losses in transformers. This program became the basis for my doctorate thesis.
